The heavens were ablaze as he rose from the sand, grinning a deathly grin and eyes glowing with a hellish light.

"What is this?! I thought the gods were dead...!"

They were, but they came back with a thirst for vengence. As the sand shifted off pitch fur the sky burned itself out. He had brought with him the last sun.

And there was Darkness in the land of Egypt.

blargh -_-; I was proud of this...but now it just looks tacky and tasteless. Scanned it in and admired it...then I started cging it after I vomitted yesterday and realized that my connection went out as soon as I got up from my nap.

So I sat there and cged for a few hours, took out the pencil drawing and fiddled between OC1 and OC3. Anything that can go wrong DID go wrong and being the genuis I am I only have it in the jpeg format...therefor the red horsetail tassle at the end of his scimitar looks like shit.

The shadows and fire, especially the colors are vibrantly and professionally done. You SHOULD be proud of this. ^^ Its a really lovely version of Anubis. Like I said, the light and darkness is in all the right places, which is brillant. Do you use photoshop? Or paint or what not?

I use good ol Open canvas ^^ scanned it in, then painted it in open canvas one. I used the pencil lines for refs...then deleted it so it's solid painting. It's a fun program!

Sounds great. Oh, and its actually natural for an artist to one minute love his or her pic, then later they'll despise it. I know. ^^ I need to get a coloring program...or just better coloring utensils.
